Divergent

I'm reading this book called "Divergent" and I found a similie on page 38 of the text. It says "A pale ring of sunlight burns into the clouds like the end of a lit cigarette." I liked how they comepared the pale ring of sunlight and the end of a lit cigarette. I never really thought about like that. To me similies are the best figurative language because they all compare it to things to might not even thing of. Just how they got a sunlight and a cigar.
